Every year, I go to a summer festival called Lughnasadh in Vermont in August. We play games, run workshops for each other, dance around fires, drink homemade mead, and generally have a great time! It’s a wonderful community, and I love photographing them every year! It’s nice to have a place where I can take […]
My friend Mary was in town between traveling adventures, and we spent an afternoon together catching up and taking outdoor portraits together in the Public Garden in Boston. She brought her dog, Kali (named after the Hindu goddess of creation and destruction), who had a great time trying to catch geese. Fortunately, she was unsuccessful!
I recently did a promo shoot for two charming musicians, Susanna Fiore and Nuru Pili Abena. Susanne is a jazz pianist and music teacher, and Nuru is a drummer and teacher of Afrocuban style drumming. We spent a lovely afternoon taking photos together, despite the hot weather. It was so nice to listen to them […]
I recently did a mini road trip to Asheville, North Carolina. While I was there, I was fortunate to do a couple photo shoots, including the wonderful Casey Arden. We connected over Craigslist. As soon as I saw her artwork, I knew I wanted to work with her. She makes beautiful drawings with spiritual and […]
I had a fun and relaxing head shot session with someone I know from my Unitarian Church in Arlington, Lisa Davis. It was lucky for us she has a beautiful back yard! If you’d like your own head shot session, my rates are listed here: Rates
I spent a lovely afternoon picking strawberries with my good friend and fellow photographer/artist Joey Phoenix. I love mixing friendship with creative productivity!
For this 4th of July, I got to have three celebrations! I went to the Somerville Fireworks where I had fun with some long-exposure shots, then I had a night picnic at Robbins Farm in Arlington with some friends, and went to a party at a friends’ house. I also recently got a new camera and 50mm […]
I did a creative exchange for a lovely gentleman named John Smith. He gave me lessons in music editing and programming in exchange for a head shot session. He studies at Berkelee School of Music and he specializes in creating music for video games. I’m grateful to him for all his help! You can check […]
I recently had the pleasure of photographing the Asian American and Pacific Islander Mental Health Forum (AAPI) at Umass Lowell. AAPI was the first conference I photographed when I started up Leah C-S Photography. There were some great discussions about improving intergenerational communication to preserve culture and tradition, as well as some fabulous traditional Cambodian […]
Here are some photos of my photo student, Mario and his charming companion, Darling. I’m not much of a dog person, but Darling has won me over!
