After I finished photographing a 10th birthday party, I was still feeling energized and wanted to spend some time in nature. There are so many beautiful nature reserves in the area, I knew I could find one nearby, and I was right! I found the Hartwell Town Forest five minutes away. It was a gorgeous space, and I had it all to myself. There were lots of fiddleheads, which are the small plants that form perfect spirals. They have a strange web over them that’s shimmery, it catches the light beautifully. In my nature photography, I try to communicate how I perceive things. Being in nature is very meaningful for me, it’s a safe space where I feel connected and grounded. I’m really happy with these photos, and I’m curious to hear what other people see in them!
