A while ago, I did a self-portrait photo shoot inspired by the greek goddesses, Eris and Harmonia. The idea for the shoot started when I was given a basket of fake golden apples. In greek mythology, Eris is the goddess of discord and strife, and she would incite chaos by throwing down a golden apple. […]
This weekend, I photographed the Corby Family at my favorite outdoor spot, Menotomy Rocks Park in Arlington. I love taking photos there because it’s got a variety of beautiful backgrounds in a small area. I took photos of the Corby family last year at the same spot, and Jen, the mom, asked me to recreate […]
I’m lucky to have such good friends and family, they’ve always supported my dream to become a freelance photographer. I wouldn’t be where I am without their help. One of those friends is Lyda Langford. If you’ve been on my website before, you’ve probably seen photos of Lyda. We’ve been best friends since high school, […]
A while back, I photographed author and editor David Whitford at his home in Arlington, MA. He’s been a friend of my family for over 15 years. I know him through First Parish Unitarian Universalist church in Arlington. When I originally posted the first couple photos on Facebook, I got the most likes I’ve ever […]
For about a year, I’ve been going to events with the Boston Referral Networking Group. They’re friendly, and the events are every week around the Boston area. I usually go to the events at Foundry on Elm in Davis Square. I met a really friendly couple there, and one of them mentioned that their daughter, […]
My friend Mary was in town between traveling adventures, and we spent an afternoon together catching up and taking outdoor portraits together in the Public Garden in Boston. She brought her dog, Kali (named after the Hindu goddess of creation and destruction), who had a great time trying to catch geese. Fortunately, she was unsuccessful!
I recently did a promo shoot for two charming musicians, Susanna Fiore and Nuru Pili Abena. Susanne is a jazz pianist and music teacher, and Nuru is a drummer and teacher of Afrocuban style drumming. We spent a lovely afternoon taking photos together, despite the hot weather. It was so nice to listen to them […]
I recently did a mini road trip to Asheville, North Carolina. While I was there, I was fortunate to do a couple photo shoots, including the wonderful Casey Arden. We connected over Craigslist. As soon as I saw her artwork, I knew I wanted to work with her. She makes beautiful drawings with spiritual and […]
