Eris and Harmonia Self-Portraits from Greek Mythology

A while ago, I did a self-portrait photo shoot inspired by the greek goddesses, Eris and Harmonia. The idea for the shoot started when I was given a basket of fake golden apples. In greek mythology, Eris is the goddess of discord and strife, and she would incite chaos by throwing down a golden apple. Harmonia is the goddess of harmony (big surprise there), peace and order. I often experience conflicting emotions simultaneously, and I wanted to capture that idea in this shoot. While I was taking the photos, I felt a sense of power but also vulnerability. I’m really happy with how they came out! For some photos later in the shoot, I used a long exposure, which makes it look like I am moving. Email┬áme if you want to learn amore about this!
